Hello, Trisha. Barely rambling at all compared to my best efforts! Hope you enjoy cracking on with sharing some stuff and figuring out more. I am impressed by a Rentaghost connection. (Certain age.) ~A
Introducing myself: I am helping my cousin David seek information about his relative. My NZ-born father was in the Fleet Air Arm for a short while, then within the RAF, then a new adventure that I want to discover. However, David's uncle was in the !st Buffs and the 2nd Bn The Buffs. Any ignorance of correct terminology will be of my own making as I seek advice or help as I gain information about his uncle. Thanks.

As a "newbie" I thought I would as I am told and introduce myself. I am researching Motor Coach Companies which were based in Northern Ireland until disbandment and also the vehicles which were "impressed" from the Northern Ireland Road Transport Board in 1940 and what became of them.
I have joined in search of war records relating to two of my great uncles who served in the Royal Engineers and Royal Artillery. I will have a good read through what has already been posted before asking for help.
Hi Mexican - welcome The best step you can ever take in your quest will be to obtain service records, and from reading threads here it is the most common posting - records are only available for WW2 from the MOD and the forms are on this link Requests for personal data and service records: a detailed guide - they are not available on any pay for web sites however fancy and appetising their name sounds TD
Hi all, this looks like a good source of information and hope to pick your brains in the future, many thanks ian
