Hi When starting a thread or reply, look further down at additional options and click on manage attachments and go from there regards Robert
Having a bad day today and its only 9 45, completely forgotten how to attach copies of docs to messages, can SKS remind me, real no brainer of a day Aldersdale Hi Tony, If I remember rightly you can't attach pictures/files to PM's you can do pictures to VM's though via a host like photobucket. Cheers Andy
Having only just noticed that War Diaries I posted as PDF attachments have gone haywire since the changeover (attachments missing, others opening a different file) I have tried to sort them out. No matter how I try I cannot get these attachments in a logical, ie month of diary, order. They organize themselves in a random order, not by file name or size. I have waited until each one has downloaded before selecting the next, submitting the edited post with one attachment at a time, all to not avail. Have a look at post no 1 to see what I mean. Anyone any ideas? Regards, Richard
Hi Richard Now that you've uploaded again, can you see an option next to the lest of attachments when you go in to edit? Next to each attachment there should be 'Add to Post' which allows anyone to place attachments in specific order within the post itself and not left at the bottom of the window. eg This post of Bamboo's is a good example of shuffling attachments around and placing within the text at the right point http://ww2talk.com/forums/topic/51086-ww2-campaign-stars-medals-info-thread/?p=601783 but the system can be applied just to put them in a certain order.
Now, that wasn't difficult was it? I didn't realize that the "Add to Post" button would remove them from the attachments. I thought I would end up with the attachments in two places in the post. Many thanks, Richard.
