:P You misunderstand me Sir! What I meant was there are no "old" ones left to buy (well none that I can get hold of anyway :frown: ). Obviously there are new ones coming out all the time and these have to be bought, naturally .

Are we still on for later this week?? :salut:

Yes, I have the books you requested and when we meet I'll show you what else was produced for the weekend and will probably become sought after. In addition to that I was still able to lay my hands on some "old" books to add to the collection.

OK mate, I can't wait to see what "oldies" you dug up. See you Wednesday :)

I know these aren't strictly "Arnhem" or even peculiar to "1st Airborne" but I thought you chaps might be interested. The first one, called Denison, is out now and the one about airborne headdress is due out soon.

    All the best :)

You are spreading your wings Mr Pariso! Very dangerous! Just when you have all the Arnhem books you can't stop the buying habit.

I think you will enjoy the latest gem from RN Sigmond publishing. I was lucky enough to be there when Scott, Niall and Bob launched the book and with such a knowledgeable team the high quality will not surprise you.
I hope to have news of another book launch next month. :)

Met up with Horsapassenger this morning and spent a nice couple of hours "chewing the fat" as they say. He safely delivered my copies of "Arnhem A Few Vital Hours" (without the red wine stains :D) and they look great!
He also showed me the other bits he brought back and I was suitably impressed.

John, the second pic is of the hardback version of the book you showed me. It's no.61 of a limited run of 250.

    All the best :)

Thanks for the coffees - I know somebody who was able to pick up the h/b copy of the book at the weekend. Also it's useful to know that vanish gets rid of wine stains in books (joking!!)

Although only sufficient copies of the other documents I showed you were printed for those attending the weekend I see that one set is already up on eBay

I starting to worry about all this talk of wine stains, Mr Cherry said the very same thing about one Kevin picked up for me.

Picked this up today from Lofty. Everyone had a great time. The "Old Boys" were on fine form and the weather behaved impeccably!!

Thanks for a great day Lofty (and thanks for the book and the photos). I also had the pleasure of meeting forum member MikeL. :)

All the best chaps ........................ :salut:

As Paul said, perfect weather for one of Lofty's SOGs meetings (my first one, but definately not the last!).
Great to meet some more forum members and a few Veterans as well. Now I have to sort out all the photos Lofty gave me!

Latest arrival. Yes, I realise it's not very "Arnhem" but it IS a brilliant piece of work and well worth having!
