Not quite a signed book :) But i spent the day with Bill Townley maker of Baskeyfield VC, and finally got him to sign his DVD for me, He is in smashing health, and let me among his archives, whilst telling me stories of dropping off a 6 pounder at 3am in London too 500 chickens stuck to a wall  So nice to meet a true gentleman. Will be off to see him again soon.

Nice find Jase. You will find, however, that Mr. Smyth was suffering from a severe case of "Journalistitis" when he wrote it (only to be expected I guess as that was his job). His story is completely unbelievable (he mentions going to and from the bridge several times in the first few days!!) and so you shouldn't put too much faith in what he says.

All the same, it's a nice one to have. :salut:
