Armoured Trains.

    Thanks Chris,

    I was taking the info from the link provided by Owen, and did think that it was odd that the platoon HQ had three sections in addition to a further six sections in another two platoons, I was presuming that the HQ sections was a reserve, the data is copied and pasted below. I can now see that a company has 3 platoons, one of which has an officer, and all of which has a HQ. On the basis of that and using the your number of 30 men for a platoon then the situation is clear, many thanks for taking the trouble to put the matter right.

    One Rifle Platoon comprised of;
    Platoon HQ (1 Officer, 5 men)
    Three Rifle Sections, each comprised of 8 men
    Two Rifle Platoons, each comprised of;
    Platoon HQ (5 men)
    Three Rifle Sections, each comprised of 8 men
