Can anyone help with retracing the number 2001 on this AoS marking?

I found a list in the book "british military marking" but it refers to an AA unit and this is a RASC Corps Troop vehicle, Begian Army.

    Simple explanation Jean.

You have looked at the AoS numbers for Italy. In 21 Army Group 2001 was indeed an CRASC unit in 1 Canadian Army.

Thanks for looking this up. The picture comes from the 1005th Belgian Transport Companie.
    info from: http://be4046.eu/TptCoy.htm

This means that those Belgians were part of the Canadian 1st Army at a certain moment.

    Jean,

Yes. There were many non Canadian units in 1 Canadian Army including Belgian, Czech, Polish and British. I know that the personnel for seventeen Belgian companies were trained in the UK and then relieved the personnel of seventeen British companies. I cannot add anything else to the link in your post I am afraid.
