The 2nd battalion of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders were deployed to China from 1929-1934, roughly.

Has anyone any photographs of this battalion in China during this period?

I don't recall any being seen when you last asked in August 2020. I altered my search to: "Highlanders" + "shanghai" and that found a few, mainly via Getty images and there are x15 pgs. to check over to you.

    Thanks for the reply david.
And apologies for that, I forgot I had posted a similar question before.

My girlfriend's grandfather was Lt. John Eadie and he served in the Shanghai Highlanders in the 1930s. I have some photos if you would like copies. John & Eve Eadie Shanghai album 19.jpg

    Valentine G,

The opening post was by Gourami and had another thread: British army in West Indies and China before WW2... and that has some information, though no photos.
