Me and the Mrs's were watching it in bed and we both had tears in our eyes by the end of the programme. Amazing despite the whole war etc a German Doctor could do so much for British Soldiers and British Doctors were happy to just measure them up for coffins. Human nature at its best and I will be raising a glass to him at the opening cereomony
Yes, it was brill. Best part was when the Welsh soldier was sent home dreading it, and his words of wisdom was 'many ways to skin a cat' and when he returned singing his lungs out.
I watched this on Catch up last night, great programme and some great acting especially by Brydon and Marsden.
