    These others at Springvale did not come up in Cataloguing for some reason as I took every headstone.?????????

    Bendigo Civil etc I am yet to go to. I had never heard of Swanwater so my guess it was at the back of woop woop is correct.

    Grewer is the only CWGC casualty buried in Swanwater probably why you have not come across it, also seeing that she died in 1921 it had to be a war cause, see if I can find anything.

    Grewer is the only CWGC casualty buried in Swanwater probably why you have not come across it, also seeing that she died in 1921 it had to be a war cause, see if I can find anything.

    I used to work that area back in the 70's and still I had not heard of it. I will find it no problem when I pick up my outstanding cemeteries in Western Victoria.

    I am going to add any miscellaneous shots to this thread from my recent trip to Sydney

    First a couple of memorials to Punjab soldiers who died a few months after the end of the war, presumably in Sydney - maybe ex-POWs..

    According to the CWGC, there are two Punjabi soldiers commemorated at Rookwood. The details for the first casualty match the plaque but the second one has a few details at variance.
