Any idea why these rusty guns are where they are?

    Piles of Rusting mg34's, thompsons, brens, m60's etc. etc.</O:p>
    <O:pI came across these pictures from a thread on ww2talk but now can't find the thread again, I stumbled upon it by a random search. Does anyone know where or why the guns were dumped? just what am I looking at here?</O:p

    The variety of weapons makes me think it is Vietnam; amazing photos, though!

    I would agree with that assessment Paul, as there is AK-47's and M-60's. Good photos all the same.

    Vietnam makes perfect sense to me, though god knows what convoluted routes the MG34's took to get there?? The pictures look to me like a dream stall at Beltring.. "Tenner an item!, everything must go!"

    Did the French use MG34's in Indochina after the war?? I know that the definitely used Panther Tanks so the idea of German Weapons being used isnt that Far Fetched.
