Hi guys,it's abraham,i'm trying to built an AEC AVC(HP),but i got say the AEC AVC(hp)'s pictures's really really hard to find.My primary reference's l4436145 from royal military museum and some photos by Steve Richard's books .Does anyone can provide me other pictures ?I'll be really appreciate it.thanks.
oh,sry,use wrong words,AEC = armour commander vehicle (high power).like this one http://www.warwheels.net/images/AEC%20DorchesterACV2_HP_Haugh%20(3).jpg
That looks like a Dorchester 4x4 - the way I read the info on some of these sites is that the HP refers to a type built on the 6x6 chassis http://www.trucksplanet.com/catalog/model.php?id=604 http://www.network54.com/Forum/47208/thread/1293569317/Looking%20For%20Info-Photos%20of%20the%20AEC%20%22Dorchester%22%20ACV In 1943, 7 Armoured Command Vehicle trucks were sent to the Australian army.
HP or LP describes the radio equipment fitted (high power or low power) and applies to all types of command vehicle - Armoured or Bedford QL based. The "Trux" section of the forum provides more details under "Vehicles" Noel
Have you tried the AEC website? did Rommel have a pair of these that they captured for his own use. Hi oldman: Thanks for your help .yeah,i got some pictures form ground power magazine, its about Rommel, but i prefer british vision, and its early type, not late type that i search for. AEC website?Could you tell me where's it ?thx.

Sorry - just checked, they are in the Armour section but ther is a better description in the signals section near the top of this page. HP/LP refers to the types of radios fitted Noel

I found this page after a search on AEC http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/weapons-technology-equipment/20669-aec-owners-club-website.html#post212959 That 'Contribution to Victory' booklet is still excellent. I have a feeling that I have seen a very thorough and detailed 1/35 model of the ACV in an old modelling magazine, I'll have a look for it. Edit: I found the magazine and it is the Bedford QLR wireless truck not an ACV
