Another collector chiming in. I've collected military handguns for several years, examples from many countries and both world wars, to the point that my pistol safe is stuffed full. Time to sell a few, this fall perhaps.

I bought a M1903A1 from the CMP three years ago. It's a Springfield Armory, 1935 or so, one of the rifles that came back from Greece. The muzzle gauge goes to three, so the lands are worn to a bore diameter of .303 or so, but it still shoots just fine, more accurate than I'll ever be. I also bought a couple of thousand rounds of M2 ball ammo from the CMP at the time, Lake City 1966. Excellent stuff.

Stick a round in the crown, if it touches the Brass pass.

    Hi,

I have been collecting for a number of years. Originally bought anything and everything but now try and concentrate on the 12th Royal Lancers and have one or two nice medals to the regiment.

Collection started with my grandad's WW2 group and I also have a number of other items notably a French rifle he bought off the beach at Dunkirk with him in 1940 and a number of photos taken during his service in the regiment in the 1920's and 30's, mainly in Egypt. I was fortunate enough to purchase two albums of photos to another member of the regiment, also from the 1930's on Ebay which complement what I already possess.

I've only just wandered (staggered?!) in here, lads. So Much to read on this forum! :)

Just as a matter of interest; Anyone had any dealings with / got a view on This outfit? Jewish Memory.

    PM's are fine ;)

Over the past ten years or so , mostly optical items German and British.
Other than that German flags eg examples of the various sizes of the Reichskriegflagge , War Service Flag and party flag.
Other than that an eclectic mixture of various items - unfortunately insane prices rule the vast majority of things out.

I don't need to PM you on this topic.

I've seen this site before and I like it even less this time.

I consider that most of the items on view would be better donated to an organisation such as Yad Vashem The Holocaust Martyrs'and Heroes' Remembrance Authority than offered for sale.

Have to agree with you there Ron.

I guess it would be nice if a fair percentage went to help the remaining victims or museums but I doubt that will happen.

Makes you wonder where they got them from in the first place?

I am looking for examples of the France and Germany Star and the Burma Star. (Must be originals) , also a white Ensign - WW2 vintage.

    With thanks
