Where was this done? How would it explode (I'd thought the whole point of Dynamite was a resistance to crush ignition etc.)? & you'd need a lot of dynamite to do more than blow the tracks off even the lightest tank?

    Where is this from mate?

It was done in the Pacific, not sure if it was dynamite but it was definitely some sort of a explosive. I recall this act being portrayed in media a few times, I also remember hearing about it has a kid, I will try and dig up some links if I can find them. Much like the Japanese, those loyal to the INA and Bose believed in a "death over defeat" policy, of course it wasn't practiced on the scale that it was by the Imperial Army. The INA and was also lacking supplies so they had to "improvise" on occasion making this pretty plausible as well, it dosen't look like I was dreaming, at least I hope I wasn't dreaming!!

Gotthard Heinrici: INA = Indian National Army aka the "Azad Hind Fauj" as it is sometimes referred to.

The weapon was quite innovative and it shouldn't recieve the critism. I think it is a good idea in principle in that you could save lives by not using just humans for battle or dangerous work. Sadly the dogs would not know the difference between an enemy or friendly tank and they would be impartial into which they decided to blow up.

Did you perchance, read the thread in it's entirety? The dogs, being in poor possession of reasoning skills, had difficulty determining who the good guys and the bad guys were and tended to crawl under the closest tracked vehicle available, which, after the dogs fled the noise and concussion of explosives and projectiles, tended to be the Soviet models.:glare:
