YouTube - GranPiloto.wmv‏ This type of stunt is actually the most dangerous of air show acts, because of the low altitude at which the pilot performs. Obviously, this pilot possesses unbelievable skill. In real life, he is a Delta Airlines pilot. Check out the landing at the end - that is special!!!
Canuck - I am fairly sure that I was one of his passengers once on a flight from Portland Oregon to New York- as he came out of the cabin I asked him "what happened " - he said " When ?" Cheers
Have looked but not found yet - Pilot Officer Frank Whittle Crazy flying at RAF Hendon display 1930. I saw the film some years ago. A pupil and instructor, each in Avro 504s, Hilarious, Frank was hailed as the best aerobatic instructor of this time. His flight commander who witnessed Frank pile in twice attempting a new manoeuvre said, Frank I will get the squadron aircraft and pile them up in the middle and set light to them - it would be quicker! Love to see it again. Like Bader he was a bit of a lad when it came to squadron discipline, once just avoiding courts martial for unauthorised low level aerobatics. A great pilot and engineer.

Cheers Tom, We've all had one of those flights. I love the one about the old lady, after a particularly hard landing, who asks the pilot, "Did we land or were we shot down?"
