Allo, joined up over at the WWII forum and one kind member suggested I should join here too so here I am. :)

I've been reading about WWII history since I was a young boy and I still am. Thought it was time to find a decent forum, not least to stop me boring the pants off folk in non-related forums.

Both my Grandfathers served with the British Army, one (RA) in North Africa and then Italy, the other (RAMC) in North Africa and then India and Burma. Both Grandmothers served on the home front, most of the time spent in the area I live in, near RAF Manston in Kent near Dover on the English Channel.

Hoping to make new chums with a similar historical interest, also happy to help anyone who needs a bit of research or photos from this area which was rather busy during the war.

    [IMG] pip pip!

    Evenin' & welcome aboard,

(Someone once introduced themselves here with "At last, some people I can legitimately bore!" they had a good point. We positively encourage ww2-related ramblings, it's all part of a greater plan to protect those strange foilk that aren't interested from our droning on.... or so my other half tells me ;)).

    Have fun.

    Cheers,
    Adam.
