Have picked up a set of medals , Air Crew Europe, 39-45 star and war medal . They are in a box of issue and it is addressed to Mrs Elwy Jones, The Ilkley Moor, Ilkley, Yorks. As the medals were sent to his wife/Mother I believe the winner to be a casualty. Help does anyone have any info on any Elwy-Jones(double barreled name) killed in service with the RAF. If anyone lives in Ilkley can they look at the war memorial please
Start with the Public Records Office in Kew. Then the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, in case he's died since 1945, and is buried in one of their plots or graves.
