Churchyard is in a remote village in Shropshire.
The name is readable but weather worn.
I spoke to the gardener and he is in touch with a local historian who will re touch the headstone

    Hi slimsilver,

I was very interested to see the headstone photo you uploaded, in June 2010, of Bernard C Staunton. He was my uncle and was in the Army before transferring to the RAF and becoming a pilot instructor. All my father knows is that he was killed on a training flight - he hasn't been able to visit his grave because of the distance (and age, as he is now 92) and would be very pleased if you are able to unearth any more information regarding his brother's last flight, e.g. was there an enquiry after his death?

    Regards,
    Adrian Staunton
