The biographies of Air Vice-Marshall Richard Saul on Wikipedia and the references given there do not mention that Richard Saul was a bank official before the Great War. I have just uploaded the Great War Roll of Honour for the Royal Bank of Ireland in Dublin, and his name appears there: R. E. Saul, Major, R.A.F., D.F.C., French Croix de Guerre and Belgian Croix de Guerre (link here). He stayed on the the R.A.F. after the war, not returning to his previous, less exciting, occupation.
