    The area is now trendy (Brockley/Ladywell/Crofton Park) with coffee shops and indy shops then you go around the corner to Lewisham central

    The grave of Hedger was difficult to find due to the fact the map they have is not as accurate as it could be ,plus it is now in a weathered condition

    As you say Clive, the area has become unrecognizable and very congested traffic wise. Lots of high rise flats now.

    I learnt to swim at the Ladywell baths as my grandparents lived in nearby Bellingham. How's that for a fascinating story. I go through that area every now and again on the train and it's unrecognizable from what I remember as a kid in the 80s.
