Age cut off of postings

I am concerned to find (via looking at the history section, where I was told that there were not current topics and that anything posted there may be unavailable because of the age cut off limit) that older postings appear to become inaccessible.

I realise that there may be good operating reasons why this is so. However, on the Great War Forum an ability to access older postings is invaluable. For example, I am presently planning a tour, next week, to the Western Front and an ability to search for place names amongst postings placed sometime ago has been absolutely invaluable in enabling me to locate places which I am interested in. Unless there are unassailable operating reasons why older postings should be cut off I would really urge Lee to ensure that older postings, no matter how old, can be accessed.

To be honest I had noticed that and wondered why there was a cut off date, I agree that regardless of age all posts should be accessible.

Will look into that just now.

All fixed, the board was set to cut of after 30 days, I have disabled this so that all posts are accessible regardless of age.

Thanks Lee.i have one or two postings that have yet to get a reply. They will only probably get replies as the membership grows and someone who knows, what i want to know joins. It may take a LONG time, but at least the threads are accessable now regardless of age.
