    just a quick post to say hello.....found this site after doing a web search for East Surrey Regiment in France 1940.......I have a keen interest in WWI and WW2 and am looking forward to hopefully solving what my grandfather was doing in the early part of the war and if possible help with anyone else's research

    I have a lot of information on 1/6 East Surreys in 1944 Italy if that helps.

    Thanks for all the welcome messages...apologies for taking so long to reply....i've done a bit of reading and will post shortly in the 1940 section
    Jonathan my East Surrey interest is not just limited to WW2......my dads father, Jack Mark Culver, was in the East Surreys during WW1 but I've not started on his service yet......will let you know when I do
