WO361/113 gives the name of various ad-hoc units formed in France, these include the Beauman Division, Davies Rifles, Merry Rifles, Newcombe's Rifles, Perowne's Rifles and Waite's Rifles anyone have more info?

    Anything specific you are after?

Most either took their name from their commander or the area they were formed to defend. They were a made up from anyone in the area or all cap badges and trades and were formed into Infantry.
