Will this be possible? It makes it easier than having to upload and dump an image on a website. Would also probably encourage people to post more?

I support the motion. It's rather easier to do that than looking the photos from sites all over the wen.

It’s a nice option but graphics eat up far more space than text – no? Also, from seeing what some people chose to link to on other sites, some pics are ridiculously big and would chew-up megs at a stroke.

I would advocate this site has an automatic resizing mode to limit the displayed size of images people link to, i.e. nothing so large it wrecks the standard browser frame?

Can't we just have the facility to add photos when we post to this group?

I have just added a post to the "off topic" section of the WW1 forum, the "Baker Pals", even though it is a WW2 post really.

It concerns a British soldier killed by two NCOs in 1943. I couldn't put it in this WW2 group because I needed to include a newspaper cutting.

I would agree that the ability to be able to post a photo is often crucial to a thread & I would support its activation on this forum

  6. I have found this a key and even critical factor when posting on the great war forum and would beleive this to be also essential on this site as it moves foward. it is a great way of not just showing off something but also to gain important info that the written word can not convey.

The Great War Forum is very useful with its file attachments facility so documents and photos can be added easily but an automatic photo resizing facility would very useful.
    Go for it.

Images and pictures —of reasonable size, of course— always make posts more attractive and readable. A huge bunch of text looks better with spaces and images in-between. ;)

Any thoughts on this one yet, Nick?

Sorry for the delay guys, I promise this forum will be awesome by the time I am done.

I'm very busy now and doing my best to get things up an running. I also have a new skin coming which is both very simple and attractive, just so the forums don't look so generic.

Once again sorry for the delay but I have alot of work(including the forum)that I'm doing right now.

No problem Nick. We'll all hold tight - I'm sure it will be the bees knees in time enough.

    Ryan
