Does anyone know any references or books to 6th Airborne pathfinder company(22nd Ind comp) or the Gliderpilot regiment? Both these areas hold a fascination to me. or on a broader scale any regarding 6th Airborne themselves. I have read/viewed 'Go to it' by Peter Harclerode. ta Arm.
I know that a number of books have recently come out covering the D-day drops. Sutton publishing have- Orne Bridgehead, there is also a book called "devils own luck" or something similiar. Not sure if this is the kind of thing you are after. You could try www.naval-military-press.com a really good specialist book seller, I think they have a book on the glider pilot regt, though I might be wrong. Hopefully Ryan/salient points will pick up on this thread and be able to give you some advice, he seems to be a bit of a book expert. Ali

For what its worth I'd particularly recommend Martin Middlebrooks "Arnhem" and It never snows in September by Robert Kershaw. Martin Middlebrook rarely fails with his books and Kershaw's book give a welcome view from the other side of the Arnhem operations. Ali
