    Hi folks,

Looking for any information regarding this casualty, AC2 William Fairhurst 1588757 RAFVR who died on 17 November 1943 (link to CWGC).

His death appears to have been registered at Market Bosworth, I have various newspaper reports but these merely state that he was accidentally killed on active service. He had been in the air force approximately four months.

A Google search suggests that he may have been a crewmember of Tiger Moth II N6484 of No 7 EFTS which crashed on the approach to Desford, but I can find little information regarding the incident.

    Hi Paul,

Both Fairhurst and Alderdice are listed as being on strength with No. 7 EFTS when killed. Fairhurst shows as a pilot under training; Alderdice as the instructor.

    431117 - Unaccounted Airmen - 17-11-1943

Confirmation that both men were on strength at No. 7 EFTS is attached.
