Hmm... I'd have thought "The Kew House Hunting Club", or maybe...

Which edition is this, I'll bet I'm not in it! :(

Another observation for Adam: the structured fields in the bibliographies display 'sentence case' - all words are capitalised followed by lower case. This makes a bit of a mess of all-cap abbreviations, e.g. HMSO displays as Hmso. Is it something that can be tweaked, please?

There is a variety of auto formats - went for capitalise first letter so I could be lazy when tapping things in

Can someone help me.I have put a book on the SEAC section of the Bibliography sectionand wanted to edit a typo in the heading but can't seem to be able to amend this. Its only to change the case of a word, but annoying to see it wrong. Also ,somehow the book appears twice and I want to remove one of them but as I can't take headings out this does not seem possible. I was also wondering why some books have a coloured spot to the left of the title and other's don't. I know someone will know the answer to these questions.
    Thanks in advance.

Sylvia, the database is autoformatting the text and putting everything in Title Case With Leading Capitals, Even If It's An Ordinal (9Th), A Roman Numeral (Vi) Or An Acronym (Hmso).

The blue spots are for records you haven't read.

There's no obvious option to delete a record. Maybe edit one of the titles to 'Delete' and we can have a periodic cleanup.

I've had to edit several of mine, Sylvia, so give it another go...

Re the rarity of an item - I'm doing general google searches and if they come up as cheapies on amazon that's a low sliding up to if its pricey its a high; if it's a no-show there then I'd call that "hen's teeth"... (that smiley's very Japanese, dontchathink?)

Great to have some good answers to my queries. I guess the rarity thing is always going to be a bit subjective. Thanks for the answers.

British Civilians in the Japanese War by Joseph Kennedy.

This was a cheapish copy as it has been annotated. The annoying thing is the notes have been added by someone who was there, but there's no record of who he was.

Just a pointer for anyone inputting data into the bibliography to check if the title has already been inputted to avoid duplication of entries...

That's me done (most, I think) of my little pile - I'll let some of the others do some of theirs then I'll start going through the thread to find ones we've not added, and then checking Larry's old list...

I nearly did, old chap, a couple you beat me to it on, but we do have at least one (possibly two) duplication/s... :smash:

Perhaps we should ask for a multi-task search function to be added.

    Only joking................or am I?
