Just had a call from the missus:
"I'm in Oxfam. Have you got Burma: The Forgotten War by Jon Latimer."
    "Hardback?"
    "Yes."
    "Get it."
Got it, along with Scorched Earth, Black Snow: The First Year of the Korean War. I'm assuming it's cheaper than Amazon or she wouldn't have offered.

There's still work to be done, I'm afraid. She let herself down and neglected to mention the copy of To The Last Round The Epic British Stand on the Imjin River, Korea 1951 until she got home!

I think your nit-picking there, my wife would not have noticed anything at all!:);)

Ye olde girlfriend would have done one of two things:

1.- Had I been with her, she would have very hurriedly shoved me somewhere else

2.- Had she been alone, she would have told the sellers to beware of (AND NOT TO SELL TO) a certain tall, dark, skinny bloke looking for WW2 jobs; guess she prides herself on "helping me stay within a tight budget"

Congrats on a thorough training course, mate!

Happy to assist, as long as it's Chindit (preferably Cameronian, 1st battalion) and/or 111th IID; maybe 230 Squadron circa June 1944... :D

£20 from Oxfam! Quite cheap by their standards, I think there's a rougher looking copy on eBay at the moment that was up to around £40.

    Just found this:

RHKR The Volunteers Association Ltd. - Obituary

Stands at around 8 quid. Let's just hope S+H does not make up for the difference

Already sent them an e-mail asking for charges to Guatemala City OR to London; am keeping my fingers crossed... ;)

Let me check the boxes. You and Warlord could fight it out over the "Reconquest" books. :D
