Hi everyone, Just found the forum when I asked Google what BNAF meant. The answer pointed to this site which appeared very interesting and informative so I joined. I am doing a bit of family history research and have just received my late fathers Army records from WW2. Unfortunately it is full of abbreviations some of which i can't begin to understand. I was hoping that other forum members might be able to help. Here they are then :- Embarked RxFGP Disembarked T of Ops TOS X4 6AN No 1 1 RTD BNAF SOS BNAF to MEF SOS MEF to CMF Enbarked cmf & SOS Disembarked & TOS 21 Army Group NWE Also dates are shown in this format 115/40; 102/40; 19/45 can I take these to mean 11/5/40 etc. Some dates have prefixes XLO. 77/44; B41 & B63 I know it's rather a big ask but I would be most appreciative if anyone could help. Cheers, Chris.
