Abbreviation at Rawalpindi 1942

    My RAOC man was posted from Deolali and taken on strength "RPA" and after 2 months struck off strength "RPA". From other clues this was at Rawalpindi.

    It has the look not of a unit per se but of some umbrella oufit but I don't know. Grateful for an interpretation.

    There was a Rawalpindi Arsenal that existed 1939-43. It then reverted to the Ordnance Department. The abbreviation may be the RP from RawalPindi and the A from Arsenal.
