A new slant on writing one's memoirs ?

Amongst this morning's snail mail (that's through my porch letter box) was an intriguing mail shot from a company called Lifebook Ltd.

This particular concept was new to me so I did a GOOGLE search and found them here: http://www.lifebookuk.com/

Basically, it offers folk the opportunity to enable anyone to have their memoirs written professionally and I've no doubt that some folk will take them up on their invitation despite the fairly pricey set-up.
(It comes to a total cost of £2950 for 10 copies of the book plus various storage boxes)

I wondered if other folk have spotted this scheme that has apparently appeared in the Daily Telegraph and what they think about it ?

    ps
Just for the record, I have no intention of indulging in the scheme myself

    Good morning Bernard

    A simple answer ...............

When I set up the Galleries I decided that I didn't want any comments cluttering up that section so I chose the option that sets the "dis-allow comments" choice to the person who starts the gallery.

As far as Globocnik is concerned I will be delighted to discuss that bxxxxxd on the open forum and I'm just off to find the thread where he was discussed before. If I can't find it I will start a new thread :)

I can never get that man's name spelt correctly, Wikipedia gives it as follows:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odilo_Globocnik

When I find other links I will post them here.

Always good to chat with you !

Actually there are a few other links concerning Globocnik and this may not be the best one.

Let me go and have breakfast and then I shall return here with a better one to continue our conversation :)

Now suitably refreshed and having looked at thread head "Diary Extracts" I reckon that's more than suitable for our discussion so stick your queries on there and I will try to answer them
I also found some more links:

Hi Ron Hope you are well mate.
Memoirs. I am writing articles from my memoirs for the Purbeck Gazette. Two A4 pages each month. I am now on episode 8. What did surprise me. was the feedback that suddenly arrived. Lots of messages from local folk, including those that stop me in the street.

I was a little uneasy about serialising the memoirs . While it looked fine to me on the screen, I never knew how my writings would sound and read to others. So I was quite pleasantly surprised (and pleased) to learn that folk find it interesting, and actually look forward to the next instalment.

The next issue is in June. About the time of the D day anniversary. That will be about the murderous horrors and dreadful sights inside the Falaise pocket. I some times wonder if I should print all of it. For there are some pretty unpleasant parts to those memoirs.

Sapper, just my tuppenceworth, tell it as you saw it, leave the sanitised version to hollywood.

I never considered for one moment that you would need a hand to write your memoirs :)

Most interesting about your articles in the Purbeck Gazette but I have always found your memories riveting and it should therefore come as no surprise to you that others might also feel the same.

Please let's have a reminder nearer the time when the next lot are being published and a link would be helpful.

    Keep well & best regards

    Ron

A great read Brian. Just goes to show it does not need to be in strict sequencial order to convey your thoughts and memories of the time.
    Thanks for the link RDR.
