Like the old days I have packed my kitbag, discarded items I can no longer carry with me, as I move today from Worcestershire to reside in the Aveyron in France. I am glad to report there are no 'barrack room breakage charges'. The great thing is that I am not leaving my friends behind, thanks to Broadband, Internet, and e-mail. Despite being a civilian for 68 years, this 93-year-old Royal Scot cannot help but resort to our Regimental 'Battle Charge' as I move forward: Up The Royals! Joe Brown.
Wow....I hope I'm as upwardly mobile as you when I'm 70 let alone 93. Good luck with the move Joe and enjoy the sunshine you lucky thing !
Joe, Best Wishes to you in moving to your new abode in the Aveyron department Was only thinking about your intended move when I read your post the other day...now coming to pass. Midi Pyrenees.....What an idyllic place to hang your coat....beautiful summer weather and the promise of genteel living
Much health and happiness in your new abode. I hope you will be having a wee glass or two of vin to celebrate. Don't mind if I join you ? Glug!
