Like the old days I have packed my kitbag, discarded items I can no longer carry with me, as I move today from Worcestershire to reside in the Aveyron in France. I am glad to report there are no 'barrack room breakage charges'.

The great thing is that I am not leaving my friends behind, thanks to Broadband, Internet, and e-mail.

Despite being a civilian for 68 years, this 93-year-old Royal Scot cannot help but resort to our Regimental 'Battle Charge' as I move forward: Up The Royals!
