The actual casualty rate was 3% (I found this figure in a letter to The Times published many years later. Don't have the source now, but could probably find in the archive with some searching)
Those Eisenhower D-Day message leafles have shot up in value ever since they appeared in Band of Brothers, or was it Saving Private Ryan? I bought one for £2.00 and sold it a few years ago for $120! Seem to remember that the leaflets were produced by the Political Warfare Executive - the organisation producing aerial propaganda leaflets.
