I have been going through photos and this one sticks out as interesting. It looks like a semi official photo taken in Africa, circa 1943.

The mix of uniforms, cap badges and ranks suggests a summit, or general meeting but after that I know nothing, other than my Grandfather is in the back row in the dark shirt.

I am interested in who the the General officer is, front and centre.

    Any ideas?
