Like piped music Christmas carols in our shops mid November - some of our supermarkets got in early with 2013 - the year of the horse.
Ron, Kong He Fat Choy, can't remember how to spell it - my Malay driver always called it Hong Kong Fat Boy. BUT I think that the first day is tomorrow 31/1? Even though the New Moon is today, here in UK 馬 Mǎ Roy Martin (actually a Rat from 1936)

The celebration takes place at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar and the first day of the New Year always falls on the new moon between 21 January and 20 February. Each year is attributed to an animal sign in the Chinese zodiac and is assigned an element. This year celebrates the Year of the Tiger, and 2022’s tiger is a water tiger. Tigers are third in the Chinese zodiacs and are considered to be a symbol of strength, the expulsion of evil and braveness. This impressive tiger was produced by a pupil of the Chinese artist Gao Qifeng and dates back to around 1920. Tiger, China, Lingnan School, c.1920.
