A good beach for a German Invasion?

    I have gone hastily through this thread and I think you should be a little more careful on your conclusions. My experience during discussions on this is that much that is taken for granted to be 1940-stuff, actually wasn't built untill later. After all, the defense build-up went on for a couple of years after 1940. Have you done any extensive research on when the various defense points were ready?

    This wouldn't have been so strange as much work during the Summer '40 was used on the inner defensive line (Ironside).

    Interesting stuff and nice pictures, though.
