For a while I have been looking for a book that covers all the medals and awards issued by each country involved in the war. I know its a tall order, I have various books for medals issued by germany and thats a big book in itself as they issued a medal or award for virtually everything!

If you know of anything out there I would be grateful for any names or directions to look in, even a couple of books would be fine.

    Thanks

Lee, not really a book, but this website covers a vast array of countries medals.

Mostly a pictoral reference, rather than any real information (More for I.D. purposes really), but worth a look.

I am coming to the opinion that save for specialist books and those outlining ways to prevent buying a duff medal through medal rolls and in-depth analysis of the award, much of this information can be gleaned for free from websites and medal forums.

"Hendrik's Medal Corner" covers the WW2 awards of most European and some other nations, with pictures and fairly comprehensive descriptions. Moreover, he can be contacted: he is a friendly bloke who writes in very good English.
