For the information of Adam and other tankers.

I was surprised to find these two tanks at the Stevnsfort Museum when I looked around the grounds above the bunker systems.

The British Centurian Tank and the German Leopard Tank.

Also a Browning 50 calibre four barrelled AA gun set, which looks similar to those fitted on the WWII White half track.

I have no idea what the tracked vehicle is alongside, but presume it was used for transporting specialist rocket equipment.

    Regards
    Tom

That tracked carrier is an odd beast, Tom, but it looks perhaps as if it was intended to launch/recover boats perhaps?

I am not expert on AA missile systems but that tracked carrier seems to me to be part of Hawk AA Missile system.

The last Centurions in service were the AVRE 165 version (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers) with a 165mm demolition gun, they lasted just long enough to make Gulf War 1 and were retired just before I got to the Regiment.

Amazing they were around for so long
