    Guten Morgen.

After the Battle magazine edition 116 from about 17-18 years ago covered this with relevant diagrams, maps and photos, including of the distribution system in France.

Copies are probably still available from the publisher

Michelin published the 1947 Map of Normandy as the The Battle for Normandy, June-August 1944 for the 1944-1994 Anniversary.

The map shows the comprehensive detail of the Pluto route from Cherbourg including the later off loading by tankers into a spur of the system at Port en Bessin Huppain.

If you ever visit the Isle of Wight, nip to Brown's golf course, (pitch and putt), Yaverland/Sandown sea front, have a coffee if you like (don't need to have a round of golf). The pavilion was the home of the Isle of Wight's PLUTO pumping station.

I've not been for years, so have no idea how the restoration has gone on the PLUTO element. The site has been in financial trouble for a number of years, but it's apparently up and running again.
