9th (Airbone) Field Coy RE or Manchester Regiment

I am trying to identify which WWII British Army units are represented in the enclosed photographs. I am looking into the history of two brothers, one (John Walsh) who served in the Royal Engineers and one (Francis Walsh) who served in the Manchester Regiment. Can anyone recognise any insignia, location etc., which can help with this?
