    The KING has been graciously pleased to grant unto Frederick Arthur Vincent Copland Griffiths, of Whitley House, in the parish of Folkestone, in the county of Kent, Gentleman,for himself and for and on behalf of his two brothers, Esmond Copland Griffiths, a minor of the age of nineteen years and upwards, and Felix Alexander Vincent Griffiths, a minor of the age of ten years and upwards, His Royal licence and authority that he and his two brothers may take and continue to use the surname of Copland, in addition to and before that of Griffiths, and that such surnames may be borne and used by his and their issue:
    And to command that the said Royal concession and declaration be recorded in His Majesty's College of Arms.
