Have a look on the National Archieves website for the unit diaries they will tell you all you need to know.

I beleive that the North West Europe start at WO 171/001

    They are available at Kew

    Drix,

According to the War Diary (WO171/2560) at the National Archives they began to embark in UK on 7 June and to land in France on 11 June 44.

    "11 June 1944
Unloading of craft commenced. No difficult[y] experienced in getting off LST’s but some delay in unloading transports, Dock Coy RE not being immediately available. Beach landings of Kipling Beach successfully carried out. First parties to be unloaded arrived at assembly area and were directed to location 846828 BEAUVAIS South of Ryes."

I have the war diary up to the end of October 44, but it is relatively brief.

    Regards

    Tom
