Trying to track this battery. Attached to 13th Anti Tank Regiment served with 2nd Division 5th Indian Division passed under 9th army and 7th army. 1945 my father was wounded and hospitalised in Rimini served with 73rd medium regiment then.
    Any help would be appreciated.

You already have the basic information of his units moves. 8 Battery were part of 13 Anti Tank regiment throughout the war. The attachment is a summary

You can read about the artillery in 1939-40 in Years of Defeat by Martin Farndale. This covered the story up to Dunkirk

13 Anti tank joined 5th Indian Division in Egypt in time to serve with them in Iraq.

I dont have his service records but have his medical records. He was hospitalised on 15.8.42 in El Ballah Egypt and then again on 2 July 1943 in Sidon Lebanon (Malaria both times) When he suffered multiple Tommy gun wounds in Italy he was a driver l/C 73rd medium regiment. That was 22nd April 1945. He was hospitalised in Rimini by 1630 on 23rd April. His number is 882515. Just wanted to confirm that the 13th anti tank regiment was attached to the 73rd medium regiment in Italy. Thank you for replying.

Anti-tank regiments weren't subordinate to field regiments. Both were attached to divisions. You would know better than I if both units were attached to the same division, but it was generally possible for someone returning to the front to be assigned really anywhere at all, not necessarily in the same division.
