He was married in 1925 to a woman named Lillian, described as a "Parisian with an Anglo-Danish background". Two daughters were born between 1925 and their separation in 1936. The daughters were not born in the UK so no idea what their names were.

As Lillian never divorced him, the woman described as his "wife", Barbara Dean, a 24 year old WAAF who he couldn't marry owing to the lack of a divorce, spent the rest of his life with him.

Barbara Yeo-Thomas was the Patron of the 168 Allied airmen held in Buchenwald. I have a photo of her and Squadron Leader Stanley Booker RAF (only one of the 168 still with us) laying a wreath at Buchenwald to the 31 SOE operatives brutally murdered.

    Regards,

    Dave

Cheers for that Dave. I have spoken to 2 of thee 168 Buckenwald airmen and found out after his death that my old headmaster was another (Vincent McQueen of 10 squadron).

No, he wasn't, I'm afraid. We've spoken about Vincent McQueen on this platform before.

Was Vincent McQueen held in a concentration camp ?

    Regards,

    Dave
