86th field regiment royal artillery

    this is dad doing his bit,called up 1942, all though he didn't know it, the next two years he spent training and practising for the big day in June 1944, got his service records because I new very little about his time in the war, all I new was that he drove a tank,and was very surprised that he was in the R A, I believe the tank he drove was a Sherman and was a mobile O P, have read as much as I can about his regiment, other than that

    yes I have thanks, I have a copy of D-Day to Arnhem, and a marvellous book called GUNNER KAYE which is about 342 bty which dad was in,and have read Sidney becks diary also. regards Steve.
