Hi, I'm currently researching the units my dad was in during WW2 as I aim to build a model of the Matador truck he drove while towing a 3.7" gun. During 1941 he was with the 262nd Battery/ 84th HAA Regt and then from 1943 he was transferred to the 501st Battery/ 145th HAA Regt until the wars end. What I'm looking for are the markings that the vehicle and gun would have used for the two particular units. I know that he was stationed in the UK throughout the war and at one point ended up guarding the Forth railway bridge during the D-Day period in 1944 (he did'nt know it but it was part of Operation Fortitude, the plan to fool the Germans where the invasion would start).
