80th Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment

    I have 3 sporting medals awarded to my late father in 1956. According to the RA 39-45 website the 80th LAA were disbanded in 1944. Can anyone clarify please.

    From here - Artillery Regiments Page
    See "1st Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment" and the last line " In 1947 it was renamed 80th Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, RA, before being disbanded in 1956."

    Thanks Robert.
    In 1956 my father was in Malta so it is possible that this was 80th LAA last sports meeting.
