UK- 5th British Brigade consisting of 2nd Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers; 2nd Battalion, The Dorset Regiment; 1st Battalion. The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, 30th Field Battery and 80th British Hospital; Nos. 11 and 17 Squadrons RAF (Spitfires), a communications squadron and a hospital. and i am sure that this will interest you if you havent already seen it BBC - WW2 People's War - I Was Lucky: Memories of the Royal Army Medical Corps
Thanks for that, Phil, however he gave up command in c. Sep '44. I did find that BBC one - interesting and amusing, and useful as some of it did relate to the time my uncle was CO.

My father was in Kings Own Scottish Borders and in Jhansi Hospital 1944 after being injured at Admin Box. He married a Canadian Nurse/Missionary in Jhansi. He was Sidney F Wells (known as Ray) and, so we are told his wife Annie Lee Whatling, nursed him back to life. My father died in 1994 in Hampshire UK
