I have been searching for service pals of my father for some 15 years and yet to find anyone.

My father LAC Cliffy Brooks 1941-46 started as a VR, his first unit was the 808 defence sqdn which later to became the 2808 RAF Regt, i have details on the sqdns but yet to find anyone who served with them.
His service records are very sketchy, serving at Polebrook, Lundford Magna, Snaith, Ridgewell, Stradishall & lindholme. Later attached to ACSEAC and serving in Singapore and India etc. He also served in Ireland however this does not show on his service records.

His records suggest he was a motor cyclist, it may well be whilst serving in UK he was a dispatch rider although this is not mentioned as DR.

I would like to find anyone whos relation served with the 808/2808 or if possibly some one who served with the sqdns..
