    P77599 Lieutenant Ralph Cecil Horace PILCHER, WELSH GUARDS


    Lieutenant PILCHER was taken prisoner at BOULOGNE during the summer of 1940. After participating in four unsuccessful tunnel schemes he and 5 other Officers attempted to escape from ROTENBURG, but were caught just outside the wire.

    On 29 March 1945 Lieutenant PILCHER escaped from the marching column of prisoners, and after hiding for four days joined an American unit.
