Drew kindly copied this from Archives at Kew. Not very exciting but has mention of officers coming and going and a conference where there was a misunderstanding.. pm me if you want to see them
zahonado, Id be interested as one of my local casualties was killed in action with them in 1944. our_glorious_dead(at)hotmail.co.uk
Hi there, I´ll have a look but suspect there isn´t anything- it is really boring!!! Have only got 1943- my father came and went v quickly after argument with brigadier- but I only know that because of his own diary!
I am now gradually getting my fathers diary from Jan 1943, which mentions other officers names and is quite gossipy in tone but discusses the war generally, journeys in India, politics and life jungle conditions, going to the India cricket club, girls- alternately fascinating and boring! if anyone would like to know if a relative is mentioned, let me know. I will be getting later installments in due course
Hi zahonado Can you confirm if this covers the period 6-August-1943 to 25-Oct-1943. My dad was posted to "69 Light AA/Anti-Tank RA" prior to being posted to 51/69 RA as part of 16 Brigade Chindits. Regards
